Barbara Power is a skilled and intuitive Natural Health and Wellness Facilitator. She is a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master, a seasoned synthesis researcher, analyst and writer, and a professional Instructor with the School of Complementary Therapies (SCT).
Barbara began studying with our founder Jacqueline Fairbrass in 2004 covering the Traditional Holistic Aromatherapy Training Program, Holistic Reflexology Certification Program and Certified Natural Health Practitioner Program and, recently, the Traditional Holistic Aromatherapy Instructor Training Program. Into her complementary therapy qualifications Barbara creatively weaves years of experience in the health and social care fields, academic achievements of Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees, studies in adult and continuing education, and advanced certification studies in complementary therapies. With insight, authenticity and a refreshing zest for life she brings dimension, depth and clarity to both the healing and learning experience.
Purple Oak Wellness is the name of Barbara’s private practice situated in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Using any one or a combination of complementary therapy modalities Barbara works closely with clients who want to feel better; to connect with, stimulate and strengthen one’s natural healing capacity and to restore whole of person centeredness and balance.
