Anatomy & Physiology
To be a professional in holistic health care it is important to have knowledge of how the body works. Although holistic health care is energy based, the function of the various body systems needs to be known. This course was designed by a professional educator of nurses to supply the information needed in an easy to learn format.
Anatomy is the structure of an organism and the inter-relations of its parts. It is concerned with well-defined physical structures which involves the skeletal system. Physiology is the science that studies the functioning of living organisms and their component parts.
The course by home study credits 110 hours, including five assignments and a final written examination. A & P is an essential course for those beginning a practice in complementary healthcare or for those wishing to increase professionalism. We recommended Anatomy & Physiology for the serious student of Reflexology and the course is a compulsory part of the Traditional Holistic Aromatherapist Certification and the Certified Natural Health Practitioner programs.
