Carol believes it is important to share information and ‘spread the word’ about Reflexology as an exciting and beneficial complementary therapy and encourages people to train as an SCT Instructor.
THE BUSINESS OF BEING WELL ~ An interview with Carol Hawksley, SCT Instructor (Retired) and Wellness Facilitator ~ by Deborah Dunleavy
‘It has always fascinated me that there are so many ancient ways of keeping well and yet in our modern world of ‘bigger is better’ and ‘more begat more’, we seldom find time from our stressful lifestyles to take care of our own personal health. Wellness Facilitator, Carol Hawksley, makes the study and practice of the Healing Arts a way of life that is nurturing, inspiring and encouraging her clients to choose healthier, happier and more productive lives.’ READ MORE
What Carol’s students have to say:
“[I feel] I am now different…because I have a new tool to work with, and can educate other people with what I have learnt already!” JH, Dryden, ON
“I didn’t realize that Hand Reflexology actually works—and really fast too! I always thought it was just a type of massage…” NC, Dryden, ON
“I found that this course was very well taught and professional and I wanted to be a part of [the SCT team]. The high standards of [the School] appealed to me.” MH
“I came expecting more hands on experience. I got theory and hands-on practice. I gave many questions. I am different now as I learned a lot. The class experience is one that I think anone doing a ‘hands-on’ therapy should have. Carol is a relaxed, excellent teacher.”
“I came expecting to learn more and be able to help people in another way. I got a lot of knowledge in a short time. I shared my experiences and knowledge with others. I am now different because of new knowledge.”
“I came expecting to learn how to do reflexology treatment (that’s all). I got a whole bunch more, like anatomy of the body, different things that reflexology can help (i.e. MS), professionalism, how to start a business and how to keep it successful. I am now different because I feel that I am more intune with not only other people’s bodies but also mine. I have learned so much valuable stuff to take along with me during my future career in Reflexology.” AS
“I came not knowing what it was all about. I got to learn things I never thought about. I gave myself a chance to learn about this Reflexology. It is really cool and I love it. I can go and do what I always wanted to do, so I thank you so very much. I learned a lot.” RS
“Thanks again, it was a great class! Carol is an awesome teacher, very thorough and kind, with lots of positive reinforcement. I am grateful for the opportunity.” Lurena
