The sun has come out, the snow has disappeared and it’s time to dive into spring! So, it’s time to take action. Many of us are feeling the surge of new energy that comes in as the flowers start to appear and the days become longer, and warmer.
Here at the Jacqueline Fairbrass School of Complementary Therapies (SchoolofCT) is no exception. Emma, our Administration and Coordination Director, has been receiving lots of inquiries and tons of feedback about all the wonderful changes happening at SchoolofCT. So we thought this newsletter would be a great place to bring you up to date on changes at SchoolofCT and changes in natural health care.
Changes to our logo
First and foremost, the new logo! We haven’t let go of Aeracura. However, it was time for a change, and this spring Aeuracura has become part of the new crest. School of Complementary Therapies has for some time been abbreviated into SchoolofCT, so we blended that into the new look too.
Of course, once we begin to make changes, along comes more. And the next thing was to bring in new colors. This has been something that students in the classroom have known about for a while, but we hadn’t made the move. This spring we chose our branding colors to be navy and olive.
Check out the new site if you haven’t already, and give us you feedback. So far, we have heard the words “professional”, “fresh”, “crisp” and of course, the “new energy” has been noted. Many thanks to Emma Fairbrass for all her hard work.
Tee-shirts with the new logo and in the new colors are coming to the SchoolofCT web shop soon.
Expanding our reach
Secondly, the expansion to the west coast has brought in lots of questions. SchoolofCT’s newest teacher, Barbara Power is heading out west this summer and in the Fall is offering classes in the Victoria area of BC. Our founder, Jacqueline Fairbrass has for almost two years now been business developing in Vancouver and this Spring opened the Head Office in Vancouver.
Our Ontario satellites continue to expand and courses continue in Ottawa.
And then there’s Jacqueline’s private practice. You will notice from the new website that Jacqueline is no longer using the term ‘naturopath’. New legislation in Ontario (Bill 171) means that in the Province of Ontario only Ontario registered naturopaths may use that term. In Ontario naturopathy no longer means simply ‘living by nature’s laws’ and now includes scopes of practice that include diagnosis, primary health care, etc.
Jacqueline continues to offer Natural Health Care, including Life Facilitation and Energy Medicine, and [at this date] retains her memberships with ANN (Academy of Naturopaths & Naturotherapists), RRCO (Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario) and ANMA (American Naturopathic Medical Association).
