We are, so often, governed by our heads and not our hearts. I’ve a story for you today. How a small step led to a magnificent adventure.

Follow your heart and take a leap of faith. Ivy did, and this is what happened.

Last year I had a wonderful time teaching Color Therapy to a highly-gifted, professional artist. At the time, Ivy was working and creating in New York. But, when Artist turns Healer (yes, Ivy took all three levels to become a Professional Color Therapist) magic happens.

A few months later, Ivy was off to India, sharing her magical blend of art and color.

Here’s the lovely letter she shared:

Hi Jacqueline:

I’m back from a life altering experience in India. And I’m sending you a couple of photos from my visit to the cities Chennai, Madurai and Delhi.

While in Madurai, I was blessed to give a lecture on Color Therapy to ophthalmologists and staff at Aravind Eye Hospitals.

I also gave workshops on color theory and color therapy. These sessions included a hands-on creative art component that incorporated the healing benefits of applying color in an artistic form.

Almost 40 participants used colorful alcohol inks on Yupo paper to create beautiful greeting cards. It was a joy to witness people from all departments working together while having so much fun.

My marketing skills were put to good use helping with signage at the hospital and brochure color designs at Aurolabs (pharma & eye lens company of Aravind).

Aravind Eye Hospitals has a simple mission: the elimination of preventable blindness. Their business model is such that they have enough paying cataract surgery patients to subsidize FREE surgeries for those who need it. No one is turned away. Truly an unbelievable organization that the US could learn more from.

Ivy knew intuitively that her paintings and artistic creations were part of a healing journey. But know that Color Therapy doesn’t require you to become an artist. It opens up that place within where the magic lies. We were born creative. We are creators.

And she followed her heart, which led her to amazing adventures in India. What’s next for Ivy? Well, we’re talking Reflexology in Spring.
