Having Fun with Crystals

How to Make and Use a Healing Crystal Grid

having fun with crystals

Antakarana is an ancient symbol that connects soul with higher mind. It deepens love.

Energy is the basis of all life. Crystal Healing uses this energy in the form of vibration.

So, what is energy?

The things around us may appear to be solid but in fact they are not.

Once we get past the molecules and atoms and look at the spaces between them we get to the basis of all things: energy. The spaces vibrate and the vibration is called energy.

Under a sophisticated microscope everything appears as a swirling vibration. This vibration is energy and all is made of the same thing: energy.

Not a New Age Namby-Pamby Idea — This is Science

This is known and proven scientifically by the relatively new field of study called Quantum Physics.

However, this is not a new idea. Einstein’s theory of relativity expressed as E=MC2. This can be explained as mass, light and everything we perceive equals energy. Energy is everything.

Confusing? Having fun with Crystals.

Begin with the concept of looking at it all: universe, galaxy, planet, individuals, organ systems, cells, molecules, atoms then energy. There are a lot of levels to talk about things on, but it all comes down to energy.

What’s this to do with Crystals?

A crystal, or crystalline solid, is a solid material whose constituent atoms, molecules, or ions arranged in an orderly repeating pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions.

They grow in the earth and have taken thousands of years to manifest as the beautiful crystals we use for jewelry.

Here’s the Energy Vibration bit…

The natural pulsation of energy is used in watches, quartz, to keep time.

Cool eh?

However, in holistic healing crystal properties are used to enhance healing energy. But remember, although powerful, they’re naturally light. Having fun with crystals.

The following instructions on how to make a crystal grid are based on my Reiki teachings. But we all have inherent healing energy and you make use your own intent to use healing energies. Have fun and enjoy playing with crystal energy!

Having fun with crystals

A grid may be made of crystals, and charged with Reiki or other healing energies. The grid will continue to send Reiki or healing energy to heal, protect, or manifest a goal for 48 hours or longer after it is charged. This grid can also be used by your guides and higher self as a bridge to send healing

To make the grid

You will need seven small generator crystals (about 1 ½” Long) and one larger crystal (about 3 to 6″ long).

Choose the crystals with the intention of using them in the grid, and allow your intuition to guide you.

Clear your crystals before use, either by placing them in sea salt for 24 hours, or leaving them in the sunshine for a day, burying them in the Earth for up to three days. After clearing, bless them by saying a prayer over them. Sit and hold your crystals to charge them. Charge each crystal individually with Reiki or healing energy for at least 10 minutes.

Choose six of the small crystals that seem to be of similar energy and place them at equal points around a 12″ circle, pointing inward. This will create a hexagon or six-sided figure. Place the seventh crystal in the center of the circle.

The center crystal can also be a small cluster, a double terminator, a pyramid, or a crystal ball. Use whatever feels right.

This arrangement, when charged, will maintain the Reiki or healing energy.

But it must not be disturbed

If the crystals are moved or shaken the energy pattern is disrupted. For this reason, it is a good idea to glue the crystals in place. Many people like to use rubber cement. Alternately, you may wish to use a bed of sand to hold them in place. A ceramic planter tray with some sands works really well.

In the image above, they are held still by a piece of lace. When in class, we use the sand in ceramic planter.

The next step is to charge your grid with the master crystal

Charge this master crystal with Reiki or healing energy the same as the others.

Then hold it in your right hand and begin drawing out pie-shaped sections above the grid imagining energy coming from the master crystal and charging the grid.

Start with the center crystal and move to an outer crystal, then to the next outer crystal in a counter-clockwise direction. Then in the to the center crystal, out to the same crystal, counter-clockwise to the next outer crystal, and so on until you have completed the whole grid.

As you do this repeat an affirmation or mantra of power For example:

‘I empower this grid with light, with light, with light; to heal, to heal, to heal. I empower this grid with love, with love, with love and wisdom, wisdom, wisdom; to heal, to heal, to heal. I call on my highest spiritual guides now to attune to this grid of light, light, light to heal, heal, heal; with love, love, love.’

Feel free to use whatever empowering affirmation you are drawn to use. And if you like, include a prayer.

Meditate with your master crystal each day and use it to charge your Crystal Healing grid each day. For your grid to remain activated you must work with it regularly. You may meditate or pray with your master crystal to charge it with Reiki or healing energy.

In addition, if you have Reiki training you may choose to place a picture of yourself on the grid, drawing the Reiki symbols on the back. This will send a continuous flow of Reiki energy to you as long as you have charged your grid. You may add pictures of friends, family or clients who need healing energy.

There may be a limit on how many pictures you can place in the grid without ‘over-loading’ the energy capacity. Use your intuition to know how much you can do at one time.

If you need to send someone some healing energy or Reiki and you do not have a photo, you write their name on a piece on paper and place this in the grid.

It is sometimes helpful to add personal information about the person such as birth date, address, or even data such as a phone number or their sun sign. Think of it as identifying them to the universe. This has the capacity to ‘identify’ the person, or to select them, specifically for the energy transfer.

Keep your crystal grid in a safe place where it won’t be disturbed

This is a great project to do with children to teach them about healing with crystals and focusing their intent. You may even find that you learn from the children! They are often much more in tune with their intuition than we are.

Have fun with your crystals and if you would like to learn more, we’ve an excellent course on Crystal Reflexology which explains about the various crystals and how to use them with the healing art of Reflexology.
