It’s good to know our Story. With so many options available, we want you to know what makes us so special. And why the Jacqueline Fairbrass School of Complementary Therapies is unique. So, lets go ahead and take a brief look at our history.
Our doors opened in June 1995, in the suburbs of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
The first class was run in the basement of Jacqueline’s home. A dozen eager students sat on pillows on the floor. And shared a home-made lunch of soup and bread in her kitchen. Algonquin College of Fine Arts + Technology snapped-up Color Therapy-Creativity + Expression, very quickly. And by 1996 it was included in their Palliative Care Program.
Our next step in history was the highly-acclaimed Holistic Foot Reflexology Program. Jacqueline was impressed with the wonderful healers she was meeting on the holistic path. But found many of them lacked the ability to teach well. Or to develop really good, clear and concise manuals. Or even put a lesson-plan together.
The Fairbrass Method of Reflexology became the key to the success of this Program.
So, Holistic Foot Reflexology has been added to and modified over the years. And it’s kept current with new information. So we’ve added even better diagrams and keep tweaking the manuals. Accordingly, this unique course has led to thousands of students trained in the Fairbrass Reflexology Method. Also, a Reflexology Teacher Training Program has been developed so that others are able to teach Jacqueline’s highly effective Reflexology methods.
Next came Reiki training and the School really began to take off.
We branched into distance learning to make our fabulous courses available to a larger audience. We’ve a team that works to maintain the quality. And of course, keep the personal touch. Jacqueline supervises students as they go through the learning steps. Coaching and nurturing, so that most of our five-star courses are now available for home study.
We brought our prices down in 2011 so that we can spread the education and training in holistic health care and complementary therapies to as many as possible.
